It’s not too long since my last Girl Power post but I’ll add sixth part to that series anyway… and I’m working on the seventh ;P
BIG BARDA
2 parts Creme de Cassis
1 part vodka
2 parts cream
2 parts simple syrup (or red grenadine, see below)
Shake with ice and strain into suitable glass with some ice in it. Garnish with cherry and orange wedge.
This might be a highball, but somehow I find a big glass of this a bit arduous to finish… so maybe a old fashioned glass or a small highball? By the way, same thing with Chemo: I just love it, one of my best creations (even though I understand why some don’t like it), but I’ve never been able to drink more than one small highball glass of it any given day… it’s all that cream, it just fills you up.
Big Barda The Cocktal is pink, because she is a lady; it is surly/dark pink because she isn’t a nice lady. Same logic as in Storm The Cocktail: lady-like, but not quite. If you prefer your drink more red, use red grenadine instead of simple syrup: substituting part of it or simply all of it.
Speaking of red grenadine… if you find this drink “a bit too mean” but love the basic idea of sugar+cream+alcohol, you should check out Supergirl… which, I just now realized, was published in my very first Girl Power post. Oh, so the time flies.
SHE-HULK
1 part bourbon
1 part Galliano
4 part brown or yellow energy drink (eg. Battery)
2 parts pineapple juice
Blue Curacao, for adjusting colour
dash of lemon juice
(vanilla extract, if Galliano isn’t enough for you).
Build into highball glass, add ice and straw. Garnish with lemon wedge and/or peel. I’ve started to use use opaque green ice in my green drinks, it looks nice. Mostly water, some orange juice, Blue Curacao to adjust the colour.
What can I say… likely fusion of Hulk and Hulk The Mocktail. There’s no “Hulk drinking game”-aspect in She-Hulk, as she retains her own personality nevertheless her superpowers.
Okay, thank you for your attention. See you next time.
